Loving Yourself Through the Threshold: An Embodiment Circle

With Guzel Tlazohquetzalli Gjenasaj and Kelley Koski

March 29

4 pm - 6 pm

  • Change asks us to meet ourselves in embodiment

If life has been asking more of you than you feel you have to give — asking you to release, to rebuild, to grieve, to endure — and in the process you’ve felt disconnected from your own joy, your own body, your own spark… this gathering is a space to return to yourself and slowly, softly relearn love from the inside out.

So often during transition, we disconnect.

     We brace.
    We judge.
    We leave our bodies.

This is a space to return.

    WHAT TO EXPECT:

We begin with gentle somatic practices—using touch, breath, and awareness to help you land in your body and feel safe, present, and connected. From there, we move into exploratory movement exercises focused on the hips, spine, and head, inviting your body into its full range of motion.

There is no choreography to memorize and no “right” way to move. Instead, we explore movement that feels good, natural, and supportive—awakening sensation, fluidity, and internal listening.

It’s about remembering that your body is worthy of love at every stage — in strength and in softness, in certainty and in becoming.

The second half of our time together, we will gather in a ceremonial circle — a space to witness and be witnessed, rooted in safety, presence, and intentional care.

This is not about fixing yourself.
It is not about performing healing.

It is an invitation into honest vulnerability — a space where you are supported, held, and met exactly as you are. Together, we will gently process what emerged through movement and explore what it means to love yourself at the threshold — in the midst of change, becoming, and uncertainty.

Within this space, we allow self-compassion, insight, and quiet transformation to unfold naturally.

    THIS IS FOR YOU IF:

    • you want to reconnect with your body after feeling disconnected or stuck

    • you desire more ease, fluidity, and confidence in how you move

    • you haven’t felt seen by the people closest to you

    • If you feel insecure about moving your body and want a non-judgmental, pressure-free space to explore movement and share your deepest self

    • are feel drawn to living through the feminine intelligence of embodiment and the power of gathering in ceremonial circle

If you feel even the smallest yes in your body, trust it.

We create a safe space to be held in all that you bring. This is not performative but instead a deeply nurturing container to explore.

    WHAT TO BRING:

Please wear comfortable and moveable clothing + water + open heart

She has since been initiated as a Fire Keeper and Ceremonialist.

Her work with plant medicine/psychedelics, tantra, and breathwork, permaculture, living off the grid, community organizing, hosting events and ceremonies, and sitting and listening to Indigenous elders from Native American, Mayan, Mexica, Celtic and Pagan ideologies along with somatic practices guides her in trauma and generational healing, cultivating a compassionate heart and connection to the earth.

Guzel has hosted Fire Circles in Los Angeles since 2012 and founded Cross Pollinate, a women’s empowerment gathering, in 2013.

Currently, Guzel is working as a Midlife Midwife, focusing on supporting women through the perimenopause and menopause journey. Guiding them to be empowered during this transformative time. As well as offering individual medicine journeys, microdosing guidance and co-hosting women’s medicine retreats in Colorado.

  • Kelley Koski is a multidisciplinary artist with a foundation in dance. She spent over 15 years working as a professional dancer in Los Angeles, pursuing her creative path and studying multiple styles of movement since the age of three.

As a survivor of sexual abuse, Kelley credits much of her personal healing to the transformative power of dance and embodied movement. This experience deeply informs her work today.

Kelley’s mission is to guide others, especially women, back into relationship with their bodies through dance, sensual movement, and somatic practices that reconnect them to their body’s innate intelligence and capacity for healing.

She currently lives in Venice Beach, where she finds inspiration in nature, slow coffee mornings with friends, and petting every cat she encounters.
